My (Radical?) Buddhism

As of 2017, I truly committed myself to (Tibetan) Buddhism. I had read and re-read many Buddhist texts, but the key ideas hadn't yet sunk in. I don't want to ramble on about this, since really, everyone's spiritual experience is different.

What I can easily say, is what I think the ESSENCE is. Personally, I take that to be the distillation of the Buddha's works (and nobody else).

For me, it all boils down to two short sentences. They are:

(1)  Do The Right Thing.
(2)  Calm Your Mind.

Of course, the Buddha wrote oodles a bout both of these. And then over years, many more followers wrote many, many more words - thousands of books - just to achieve the above two goals.

So is it really all that simple? ... Yes, and no. See, when you accept that it IS, in fact, that simple, well then you realize what an absolutely terrifying thing this is to take on. Let me explain ... IN ANOTHER POST TO FOLLOW ...

And oh yeah, we Buddhists don't -

proselytize

- convert or attempt to convert (someone) from one religion, belief, or opinion to another.
